Yuka Nakayama has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in both Japan and the United States.  She received both her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from Tokyo Gakugei University, graduating summa cum laude. She accepted an assistantship offer at Ball State University, where she received her Artist Diploma in 2008 and is currently working on the Doctor of Music degree in Piano Performance.

Her primary teachers include Takamichi Kobayashi, Hiromi Takazawa, and Ray Kilburn.
