Tanya Karyagina is a candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree at the University of Southern California, where she studies with John Perry.  She was born in Kazakhstan, studied at the Central Music School in Moscow, and graduated from the Special Music College in Almaty in her native country.  Ms. Karyagina received the Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance, magna cum laude, from Texas Christian University, where she studied with Tamas Ungar.  She went on to earn a Master of Music Degree and Artist Diploma from the University of Southern California. 

A frequent competition winner, she has performed with orchestras in Kazakhstan, Italy, Texas, and has given recitals in Florida, Colorado, Nevada, and California.  Her debut CD features works of Bach through Rachmaninov.
