Yoko Hagino was born and raised in Japan, where she began her piano studies at age four.  As a child, she performed her own compositions in Europe and in the United States.  She has won several piano competitions in Japan and the U.S.  Ms. Hagino received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees with honors from Tokyo National University and won its concerto competition. 

She earned an Artist Diploma from the Longy School of Music, studying with Victor Rosenbaum, and again won the school’s concerto competition. She completed a Performance Diploma at Boston Conservatory as a student of Michael Lewin and received the Churchill Scholarship.  She has performed throughout New England, in Germany, and on live radio in Switzerland.
